Description
There’s only one way to get to know the Golden-Domed City—by heading out on a tour of the capital’s most legendary sites. The Kremlin, for one, which is the world’s largest medieval fortress, covering a territory of more than 27 hectares.
Another experience not to be missed is a tour of Novodevichy Convent. It is located on a bend of the Moscow River on the territory known as Devichy Polye. According to the stories of yore, it was here that young Russian women were selected for the Golden Horde in the time of the Mongol-Tatar Yoke.
One modern legend has it that if you visit the convent square on a night with a full moon, one of your close relatives will soon come upon great fame and fortune.
