Description
When the threat of a nuclear strike is impending, the action is at its peak. What should we do if this happens in real life? Famous American movie directors would probably tell us to hide underground. And in Moscow, we can do just this at Bunker 42, which is located at a depth of 65 meters under the city’s downtown (at Taganskaya metro station). This is one of our most captivating Moscow tours!
Bunker 42 is a unique collection of exhibits from the Cold War that cover an area of 4,000 square meters. In the 1960s, this bunker housed everything one would need in the event of a nuclear explosion: running water, an air ventilation and filtration system, and stores of food and fuel.
