A tour of this estate museum is almost always an adventure, as Arkhangelskoye is a very special place. Its museum has an entire hall filled with canvases by famous artist Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. When estate owner Nikolai Borisovich Yusupov acquired these paintings, his collection immediately grew more than twofold.

Another reason to join us on this tour is that right now, according to estate director Vadim Zadorozhniy, Arkhangelskoye Estate and Museum is undergoing an emotional, joyous upgrade: “Leading up to the estate and museum’s anniversary in 2019, we are creating a totally new space—this will include restoration of the park, the palace, and other structures that are located on our territory.”
