Description
What makes Kolomenskoye interesting is that it is one of the oldest residences in all of modern Moscow. Legend has it that this village was established by the citizens of Kolomna, who were saved following a serious battle and ravaging by the Mongols.
And what a palace there is at Kolomenskoye! On the tour, you’ll have the chance to explore this wonderful example of Russian wooden architecture, which is made up of many chambers connected by a web of passageways. These types of constructions were called khoromy.
Want to take a peek at the khoromy of Tsar Aleksey Mikhailovich, the tsareviches, tsarina, and tsarevnas? Join us on a tour of Kolomenskoye.
