Train tickets

Russian railway is the most popular way of transportation at long distances for Russians. Our railways are the longest in the world. Below is a schedule for some of the most popular train routes for foreigners in Russia - mostly trips between Moscow and St.Petersburg. If you do not find yours, please let us know and we will try to find the most convenient and reasonably priced travel option. We will find railway tickets for you to any destination in Russia.

Many tourists, aiming to see both St. Petersburg and Moscow, take a night train and enjoy excursions of another biggest city of Russia. Please notice, that both in Moscow and St.Petersburg there are several train stations, you have to be sure which station you are departing from. In St. Petersburg trains for Moscow leave from Moskovsky Vokzal (the Moscow train station). In Moscow trains for St.Petersburg leave from Leningradsky Vokzal (the Leningrad train station).

For you not to be confused with what means what on a Russian railway ticket, please see indications below:

Russian railway ticket - what means what

1st class has two beds in a compartment, 2nd class has four, 2A class implies seats similar with those in a airplane and are presented in fast trains only. There is also 3rd class of compartments, but we do not recommend it especially to those who come to Russia first time. It is unfortunately problematic sometimes to buy a ticket directly in a train station, as ticket attendants in booking offices do not speak any English, so we highly recommend to book tickets through a travel agency like ourselves.

Delivery within St. Petersburg is free of charge. Delivery to Europe and USA by FedEx is approximately 1800 RUB, depending on how fast you want to receive the tickets. It usually takes 3-5 days for you to get them.

We always try to have up-to-date prices in the schedule below, however there are might be some slight discrepancies due to the seasons. Please ask us directly at russia@parallelsixty.com
