This is the way the
Russian Visa looks like
|
All foreign citizens visiting Russia, need to have a valid Russian visa to enter the country. A Russian visa is a special document either stamped to your passport or issued on a separate paper, that grants you a permit to enter the Russian Federation and stay in the country for a specified period of time.
Tourist visa means that you come to Russia as a Tourist, with travel purposes.
Below you can read how to obtain a Russian tourist visa in two simple steps.
Step 1: Getting an Invitation (provided by parallel 60)
To obtain a Russian visa you first need to get an invitation. Tourist visas can be valid for up to 1 month and are usually single-entry. The invitation comprises a tourist voucher and a reservation confirmation, which can only be issued by a Russian travel agency, registered in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Please fill in the form in Getting Russian visa section.
Step 2: Getting a Visa (you do it yourself in your country)
When you receive an invitation from us, you need to submit it to the Russian consulate and apply for a visa. It's better to check with the Russian consulate beforehand if they accept copies of invitations or only originals. For more details please contact the Russian Embassy or Consulate near you. Russian Emabssies and Consulates are HERE.
After you submit all the documents and papers needed, it should take the consulate from 1 to 21 days to make a visa, depending on how fast you want it.
